By Charles Bane, Jr.
I love you she said more
than all this rain and this
night is not individual but part
of every night I inhabited alone.
I had a premonition she said
that when I felt rain and it
was not rain but you I would
fall so lightly and years would throw
their lines to harboring boats
emptied at twilight of cargo.
Charles Bane Jr. is an American Poet. Curbside Splendor published his first book The Chapbook (July 2011) and will publish his second book New Poems (October 2012) via Concepcion Books, a new Curbside imprint.
