Curbside Sounds - Ryan W. Bradley
By Victor David Giron
In Curbside Sounds we feature authors we dig reading their work or telling a story while sitting on a curb or their favorite bench, at a bar in the middle of a lazy afternoon, at a recording studio, and sometimes at home. For this installment we've got Oregon author, publisher, graphic designer Ryan W. Bradley reading an excerpt from his debut gas station novel Code for Failure (Black Coffee Press, 2012), from his bedroom. Ryan is known for his gritty fiction, but we discovered he has a soft spot for sensual, romantic poetry, and by God he wrote a manuscript titled The Waiting Tide, written as a tribute to Pablo Neruda's The Captain's Verses. We agreed to publish it immediately. It's coming out early 2013 under our new imprint Concepcion Books. More on that soon.
